In Ashgrove Crèche we strive to provide a positive, caring and safe nurturing environment in which the child’s confidence, physical and emotional development will grow through
opportunities to explore, learn and play.
Each child is treated as their own person and our curriculum is child led where each child’s
individuality is celebrated.
We are committed to working as a team in collaboration with parents to achieve this. All aspects of our service are guided by the principle of Siolta and Aistear.

- Montessori; We follow the Montessori method in our crèche which develops the
children’s independence on all levels.
- Play; We provide stimulating environments both indoors and outdoors to facilitate
hands on learning and exploration.
- Partnership with Parents ; We value the parents role within the crèche and encourage
active participation.
- Teamwork; This is an important part of our setting. By working as a team we can
provide the best level of care.
- Childhood as a time in its own Right; We strive to provide each child with a happy, carefree experience while they are in our crèche. We see childhood as a time for fun
as well as learning.
- Value all children, families and staff; We have clear and open communication between families, children and staff on many different levels. This is vital to our crèche, and we welcome the opinions of all involved
